What is GDC?
The Game Developers Conference is the world's largest professional gaming industry event, held annually at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. GDC brings together game developers, publishers, platform holders, and service providers for a week of sessions, exhibitions, networking, and product announcements.
For companies exhibiting or attending, GDC represents a high-stakes opportunity to capture content that extends the event's impact — from social media clips that drive booth traffic to polished interview footage for year-round marketing.
Our GDC Video Production Services
Booth and Exhibition Videos Capture the energy of your GDC booth with dynamic footage showcasing your products, demos, and team interactions. We shoot tight turnaround content optimized for social media, as well as longer-form brand videos for post-event marketing.
Keynote and Session Recording Multi-camera capture of your GDC presentations, panels, and fireside chats. We handle audio, lighting adjustments, and post-production editing — including motion graphics, lower thirds, and branded intros.
Developer and Executive Interviews Sit-down interviews with your founders, developers, or partners during the conference. We bring portable lighting and audio gear to transform any meeting room or quiet corner into a professional interview setup.
Product Demos and Game Trailers Capture live gameplay footage, screen recordings, and hands-on demos. We combine on-screen action with presenter narration and b-roll to create compelling product videos.
Social Media Content and Highlight Reels Same-day or next-day turnaround on short-form video clips for Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok. We also produce polished highlight reels summarizing your entire GDC presence.
Live Streaming Broadcast your booth presentations, interviews, or announcements in real-time to YouTube, Twitch, or your private channels. We provide multi-camera switching, graphics overlays, and technical support throughout.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book GDC video production?
We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks before GDC to ensure crew availability and adequate pre-production planning. For multi-day or complex projects, 8+ weeks is ideal.
Can you deliver edited videos during the conference?
Yes. We offer same-day and next-day turnaround for social media clips and highlight reels. Longer-form content typically requires 1–2 weeks post-event.
Does video production at Moscone Center require union labor?
Yes. Filming at Moscone Center requires hiring IATSE Local 16 technicians on a 1:1 coverage basis for every operating camera position. This is a non-negotiable venue requirement that surprises many first-time exhibitors. The only exception is battery-operated equipment used by credentialed press. We handle union coordination and can include this in your production quote — contact us early so we can plan accordingly.
What are the filming restrictions during GDC sessions and panels?
GDC has strict recording rules: only the first three minutes of sessions may be recorded, and roundtable recording is completely prohibited. Any conference footage can only be used as B-roll, with a maximum of five minutes in your final video. Speaker interviews require permission from both GDC's PR team and the individual speaker. We're familiar with these guidelines and can help you plan content that works within the rules.
How much does GDC video production typically cost?
Pricing depends on scope. A common industry benchmark is to budget approximately 15% of your total trade show spend for video production. Contact us for a custom quote based on your specific deliverables.
Do you handle permits and venue coordination?
We're familiar with Moscone Center's requirements and can advise on any necessary logistics. For exhibitors, video production within your booth space typically doesn't require additional permits, though union labor coordination is required for all professional video work at the venue.
What equipment do you bring?
We use broadcast-quality cinema cameras (Sony FX6, Sony A7S III), professional audio gear (wireless lavs, shotgun mics), portable LED lighting, and stabilization equipment suitable for expo floor shooting. All gear is battery-operated to comply with Moscone Center's power restrictions for non-union setups.
Can you shoot interviews in loud expo hall environments?
Yes. We use directional microphones and portable sound dampening to capture clean audio even in noisy environments. For critical interviews, we recommend booking a meeting room or quiet space.
Can you capture gameplay footage and screen recordings at our booth?
Yes. We have experience with professional game capture, including using debug cameras, freecam modes, and dev kit footage. We recommend capturing gameplay at 60 FPS minimum in 4K resolution, with in-game music disabled for editing flexibility. Whether you need raw gameplay, directed sequences, or a polished game trailer, we can handle the technical and creative requirements.
What deliverables should we expect from GDC video production?
Standard packages typically include a 3–5 minute highlight reel, social media clips in multiple formats (16:9, 1:1, and 9:16 aspect ratios), and full-length session or interview recordings. We can also provide raw footage delivery in 4K, high-res still frames pulled from video, and same-day social cuts. Post-production for highlight reels typically takes 1–2 weeks; same-day edits are available for an additional fee.
